Clean and kind staff but way overpriced. Unfortunately I used only the big hotel websites like booking and hotels and ended up here. If I had used Google I might have found some of the great selection of independent hotels here in town that had availability and more charms for the same price. This is a room and nothing more.
Jeffrey, at the reception, welcomed us warmly and was super informative and helpful! The room has a wood floor which eliminates bad odor and mold. Pretty much a good decision to choose this place.
Checked in and had my sister and daughter help me with my bags before dropping me off. I was called immediately and asked why there were 3 people in the room. I was accused of renting my own room for someone else just because my ID said I lived in the same town. I am a prominent buisness owner and will never stay here again because of how I was made to feel while visiting my hometown.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Wooden lamibated flooes were clean and shining. Offers complimentary breakfast. Located on the main road. The hotel doesnt have lift. We got our rooms on 2nd floor and we had to climb stairs with a lot luggage. The staff was not welcoming. Requested for extra blankets to the person at front desk to which he didn't react in a positive and welcoming way. Provided us the blanket but not enough as required. The bath tub makes noise as if it is quite old and needs to be changed!
Most towns have many choices for a room. The one thing they all have to sell is their service. We arrived an hour before check in. The place was empty. Asked about checking in I was told in no uncertain terms check in was 3 pm. Not one second before. We spent an hour walking around wal mart. The opportunity to make a return customer was lost. Since I had a reservation I had to stay here . After checking in we needed showers. It took 10 minutes to get hot water and another 10 minutes to drain the tub. The bed was sway blacked. The room had no carpet but they still charged for my pet. One more reason not to return. We did have a great meal at Orlando's. Good bye Taos. Next time through ( we travel to Colorado every summer) we will stay at Motel 6.
